Weed Tree

This massive weed tree over the years reached up 25 feet into the Country tree above. Two of the Bougainvilleas under it had died. Another had competed with the weed to climb the County tree. The tangled mess encroached on Lot 30 and also on the public sidewalk forcing pedestrians to cross the road.

I had to climb the County tree and cut the weed tree and Bougainvillea out of the branches before it would let go. It came down in one mass like a huge tumble weed and had to be cut up. Fortunately, new owner Roland Sprecher (mahalo!) came to my rescue at 10:30pm and helped me drag "the corpse" into the detention basin.

Once the Lae St cleanup is completed, all the green waste in the detention basin will be chipped and removed.
