Retention Basin Management
Tom Atkins has determined that our retention basin is an infiltration basin with 2 inlet culverts. He has put together a maintenance plan that must be followed to keep the basin healthy.
The worst thing for the floor of the basin was to have heavy equipment in there destroying the absorption abilities of the soil, so the mowing and bulldozing was a big mistake we should not make again.
