KB Walkway

The walkway access from the NW corner of Kuau Bayview to the Paia Community Center park was the original driveway of Lot 25 that was deeded by A&B to the County in 1996. Unfortunately, this convenient shortcut has been providing an easy getaway for trespassers (and worse) from the old subdivision and the park.

On April 15, 2014 Luba & Darlene met with Brianne Savage, Deputy Director of Parks & Recreation, about installing a gated fence across the park end of the walkway in order to increase security in KB. This ended up not being possible. In 2018 the new owners of Lot 24 installed a green chain link fence along the property line. In May 2020 Darlene removed all the tripping hazards and redistributed the soil to make the path safer for pedestrians.
