In Dec 2025 East Maui Parks cut the Haole Koa in the Park Retention Basin then cut it again in Aug 2026. The Holomua Rd Fire in Sept 2025 put pressure on Kulolio Ranch and Mahi Pono to keep the overgrown areas under control.
